Okay, so I haven't updated in a while. I do have a good excuse, I've been sick. Thankfully, Brax is thriving and gets more precious with each day.
This is Brax's First Thanksgiving outfit, and this is what Brax did most of Thanksgiving!
Again, the Thanksgiving outfit, and the ZZZZZ's. I thought all through Thanksgiving about how blessed we are to have Brax, and what a difference a year makes. I remember so vividly last year at this time. We didn't think we could have a baby, and my dad was so very sick. How thankful I am that God heard my prayers. We have Brax and my dad is doing well.
This is Brax looking in the mirror that I had just placed in his crib. It was so cool to see him experience that for the first time. So many firsts, each one amazing!

Okay, so I know I go on and on about how precious he is, but I have to say he does some strange things too. This would be one example. Yes folks, he is asleep and yes, his arms are extended. This pose is actually very similar to the dance in the Thriller video, but he slept this way for a long time, and it totally creeps me out.....

Today is Brax's one month birthday. He is really gaining strength in his neck and tracking objects. He's a really good baby, and I haven't been peed on in a long time! Yeah....
Brax's first Halloween with Dad and Sam. A word to any children planning to trick or treat, don't come to our house. Tim feels that we should only give three pieces of candy per child. Something about conserving candy. HMMMM

2 Weeks and 5 Days Old
It's so hard to believe that Brax is two weeks and five days old! I thought a blog would be the best way for everyone to stay posted on how the Oliver's, most importantly, how Brax is doing. Tim and I feel nothing short of blessed with our son. He is an amazing baby and obviously looks just like his dad. That definately works for me because I happen to find his dad quite handsome! Tim and I are learning all of the things that the books I poured over didn't cover. Some of these things would be: how to avoid getting peed on when changing a diaper, just because the baby is crying doesn't mean he is going to die and babies love to be swaddled! Brax definately does. I don't want to jinx myself here, but Brax sleeps well through the night, waking up one or two times ( thank you Cindie Sutterfield)! He is a really good baby and seems content. He is already tracking black and white objects with his eyes, and Tim and I are pretty sure he will start walking next week:) We want to thank all of the friends and family that have offered their help and well wishes. Their were so many of you, and we know that our son is loved and prayed for. Thank you so much to Georgia and my Dad, Melissa, Sam and Cindie for your help during the first two weeks. You guys helped me through such a rough time. We are now anxiously awaiting the arrival of Grandma Marley. Brax can't wait to meet her. Well that is all for now, I will post pictures and update regularly, so stop by and check out the world of our little Brax!
